มาดูของเล่นไฮเทคกัน - Spark Lamp

The Spark Lamp is a solar-powered LED lamp concept that's capable of notifying of your energy use in real time. Due to the current energy crisis, the Swedish government plans on installing smart meters in every home in the country so people can track their energy consumption. With smart meters, home owners could view their consumption in real time over the computer and create plans and goals for the month. Designer Beverly Ng believes that viewing energy consumption online doesn't create the right impact. Hence, she wanted to bring people's consumption data outside the computer screen.

What she came up with is the solar-powered Spark Lamp concept. To power the lamp, you only need to turn it upside down during the day and expose the solar cells at the bottom. Why those solar cells are at the bottom is a mystery, although I surmise it has something to do with how the lamp looks. When you turn it on, the Spark Lamp gathers your consumption data from your PC through WiFi. The lamp then pulses green for three seconds when you're doing better than the goal you set, yellow if you're on target, and red if you're consuming too much power to be able to meet your goal.

แล้วมันมีประโยชน์ยังไง ? ความจริงแล้วคนที่ทำมันขึ้นมานี้เขาต้องการให้มีมิเตอร์บอกระดับการใช้งาน เพื่อตั้งเป้าหมายในการลดการใช้พลังงานไงละครับ อย่างเช่นคุณต้องการจะควบคุมการเล่นคอมพิวเตอร์ของคุณไว้ที่ 4-5 ชม. ต่อวันอะไรแบบนั้นอ่ะครับ ซึ่งในตอนนี้ที่รัฐบาลสวเดนมีแผนที่จะนำเจ้า Spark Lamp ไปติดตั้งให้กับตามบ้านเรือนแล้วนะครับ

ซึ่งก็ต้องรอกันต่อไปว่าเมื่อไหร่เมืองไทยจะมีสำนึกของการร่วมกันประหยัดพลังงานลดโลกร้อนกัน แต่ดูเหมือนคงต้องหลังจากจบปัญหาเรื่องการเมืองกันก่อนละมั้ง...ซึ่งดูแล้วอีกนานนนนน
